 Life cheap and getting cheaper

Life cheap and getting cheaper

CHARITY begins at home (August 29, The Leader). Wrong. Let me tell you how charitable our politicians and leaders of society are.

Many years ago I was at a welcoming reception for these VIPs from a country that treated the people, well, you can guess how they were treated. I wasn’t there for any particular reason as I cannot handle their crap, never could.

Anyway, there were legs of pork, ham, lamb, sweets, alcohol, spirits, you name it and it was laid on for these dictators. It was bloody ridiculous.

This patting on the back, shaking of hands, smiles and all this other junk went on all night, making deals for arms and all sorts of stuff. If you think hard enough you may know who I’m talking about.

At the end of these deals, some of the guests, if that’s what they are called, took what they wanted, the security staff took theirs.

Then someone suggested the rest be given to aged homes and there was enough left to fill Woolworths.

Are you kidding? Dump everything in the dumpster and pour kerosene over it all and if any of the staff were caught taking anything, just one slice of bread ... all bottles were to be smashed.

Everything was done under supervision. You don’t want to know what was said when it was suggested giving it to the aged.

Hey Charles R Mathews, you’re getting there, the aged are expendable. They just have to think of a way to get rid of you rather than throw you in the furnace.

The Western world is humane and compassionate or didn’t you know that?

It has now been suggested lifting the pension age to 75. What do you think of that? I once told you all they will work you till you drop.

Yes it’s a better brave new world we are heading into.

When it comes to money, human life is cheap and getting cheaper.
