25/08/2008 | A STUNNING 10-minute second-half burst yielding five tries has propelled Singleton Greyhounds to another Thiess Services Group 21 grand final.
Down 12-6 at half-time, and lucky not be 18-6 down early in the second half, the Greyhounds whipped into their best try-scoring form to overrun the Thoroughbreds with a five-try demolition and win 38-12.
“We didn’t play very well in the first half and Scone had a fair bit of the ball,” Singleton coach Mark Newman said last night.
25/08/2008 | GUNNEDAH is now the only non-Tamworth side left in the race for the Group 4 premiership after the Bulldogs overcame a courageous Wee Waa in yesterday’s knockout final at Gunnedah’s Kitchener Park.
The Panthers only used 14 players and led 12-nil early but couldn’t keep it up as the Bulldogs turned around a dismal completion rate to score 38 unanswered points either side of halftime.

The Magpies played for nearly an hour without a full complement but had too much class and determination for the Mountain Men and won the final 30-20 at David Taylor Park.
